The West Hawaii Explorations Academy (WHEA), often referred to as "The School Without Walls" is a visionary public charter school serving grades 6 through 12. Located in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, WHEA offers a unique project-based curriculum that encourages independent learning, hands-on projects, and technical writing, preparing students for real-world challenges.
Our Vision for WHEA
We envision WHEA students as active, responsible citizens who value collaboration and stewardship within their community. With a focus on authenticity and student-directed learning, WHEA empowers students to think critically and solve complex problems in a supportive and engaging environment.
